Round of 32 pairing logic
The bracket is built before the draw so that the first knockout round remains geographically coherent.
A 64-team, 127-match tournament designed to be bigger, clearer and more global while remaining operationally realistic.
America and Asia can complete their Round of 32 slightly earlier. Europe uses an additional matchday, which helps compensate travel time for teams moving into the final phase.
| Phase | Location | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Group stage | America / Europe / Asia | 16 groups of four. Groups A-F in America, G-L in Europe, M-P in Asia. |
| Round of 32 | Same continental hub | Played inside the same continental hub: A/B, C/D, E/F; G/H, I/J, K/L; M/N, O/P. |
| Final phase | Europe | Round of 16 to Final concentrated in Europe to reduce travel and protect competitive fairness. |
The group phase is designed as a global broadcast flow. Rome and Berlin are the default reference time zones, but the schedule can be translated instantly for any other country or market.
Examples: Europe/Rome, America/New_York, Asia/Tokyo, Australia/Sydney.
| Selected time zone | Rome / Berlin time | Hub | Hub local time | Role in the day |
